Mobile ranks #45 in future job growth projections

According to a forecast released by IHS Global Insight on Thursday, Mobile ranks number 45 among 392 metro areas for projected job growth through the end of 2015.

The economics firm said that employment would grow by an average of 2.33 percent each year. That means employment would grow by almost 15 percent overall in Mobile County through the same time-frame.

Mobile ranked second among Alabama metro areas, behind number 23 Huntsville, where 2.66 percent annual growht was forecast.
